A Nuchal Translucency Scan is carried out from 11 – 13 weeks and six days. The scan is usually performed transabdominally. The aims of this particular scan are to date the pregnancy accurately, to diagnose multiple pregnancies, to diagnose major fetal abnormalities, to diagnose early miscarriage and to assess the risks of Down’s Syndrome and other chromosomal abnormalities.

We provide up to date services such as noninvasive prenatal testing (Harmony Test) for the diagnosis of Down’s Syndrome. Having completed an MSc degree at UCL with distinction in Prenatal Genetics and Fetal Medicine. Miss Berrin Tezcan, consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist, will provide you a comprehensive counselling about the chromosomal abnormalities and genetic syndromes and will interpret the results of your blood test.
