Dr Dan Borlase
MBChB, MRCOG, MRCP

Dan is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.  He graduated from the University of Manchester in 2009.  His specialist training was based in London and the south east of England, spending senior years mostly at Guy’s and St Thomas’  NHS Foundation Trust.

Dan also had specialist training in general medicine, during which time he gained his membership to the Royal College of Physicians. He is a consultant obstetrician with interest in obstetric (maternal) medicine who provides clinical care for pregnant women with acute or chronic medical disorders.

Dan has completed postgraduate qualifications in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology Ultrasound scanning from Kings college London and Patient Safety and Healthcare Simulation from the University of Galway.

Dan worked for many years as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the University Hospitals Limerick Group in the Republic of Ireland.

His interests are maternal medicine, general gynaecology including menstrual disorders, gynaecological endocrine disorders, menopause, sexual health, contraception and ambulatory gynaecology procedures.

He has a keen interest in teaching and is involved in postgraduate medical education. Dan enjoys life outdoors. He is a keen hiker, traveler and has an ever-expanding family of houseplants.
